GREENS PARK

Public BBQ

Greens Park welcomes visitors to Georgetown with prominent letter signage that creates an ideal photo opportunity after the long drive from Queensland's East Coast. The park showcases fascinating historical artifacts including an old fold press that adds character and educational value to family visits. Well-maintained free barbecue facilities represent the park's standout feature, consistently praised for their cleanliness and functionality. Essential amenities include public toilets stocked with paper and soap, while the green, well-kept grounds provide excellent picnic environments. Visitors should wear closed shoes due to khaki weed presence, though this minor inconvenience doesn't detract from the overall appeal. The combination of historical interest, practical facilities, and welcoming atmosphere makes this location particularly valuable as a rest stop for travellers and a gathering place for local residents seeking quality outdoor recreation space.
